Nestled at the foot of the Klein Swartberg mountains, near Seweweekspoort, is the enchanting lifestyle farm known as Fluisterbosch.
Here, Ben and Floris live harmoniously with dogs, cats, horses, and a variety of livestock. Fluisterbosch, featuring self-catering accommodation, provides the perfect retreat for guests in search of serenity and tranquility. This journey began with a vision centered on simplicity and a deeper connection to nature, with the aim of sharing this enriching experience with our visitors.

Kloofhuis is a contemporary cottage styled in the traditional Karoo manner. The windows, sourced from old factory and school buildings, have been creatively repurposed to highlight their vintage steel frames. The open-plan area's dividing wall is clad with rocks collected from the farm. The reeds used for the ceiling originate from the riverbanks of the Nelsrivier, just outside Caltizdorp. The wood in the kitchen comes from a dead pine tree on the farm, estimated to be over 80 years old. Water for the house is piped directly from the mountain. A cozy 70 kW wood stove efficiently heats the 65 m² interior during the winter months.
We provide firewood for the indoor wood stove and larger pieces for outdoor braai. Additional firewood is available for purchase by the crate.
We offer complimentary fresh bread, butter, and jam for your first night.

The Karoo's semi-arid scrubland features unique endemic bird species. While it has fewer species than the northern regions, its open landscapes provide excellent birding opportunities for all levels.

Our starry skies are beautiful and super clear on moonless nights. Bring your telescope and cameras, or simply sit on the stoep and count the shooting stars.
Guests are welcome to bring their own food and beverages, allowing for a personalized dining experience. You can prepare your meals outdoors on the traditional braai or opt for the convenience of the gas stove indoors.
